Ciaran Doody
Psychotherapist

I spent my formative years in Dublin, before moving to the UK which has been my home now for over 25 years. I have always been interested in people and was drawn to train as a psychologist having witnessed the transformative nature of the vocation both personally and professionally. It is my firmly held belief that holding a confidential, non-judgemental space where a person can be open with their individual challenges can facilitate immense change, better relationships and a more fulfilled life.
Prior to my career as a therapist, I spent 20+ years working in the financial services industry in London in various management roles in Reuters, Refinitiv and LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group). These included product manager roles in wealth and fund management and content management roles in fixed income. This career was immensely rewarding and I was fortunate to collaborate and work with a range of inspiring teams and colleagues. That said, I am acutely aware of the stresses of city life and have worked with a number of people who have felt burned out and overwhelmed by the toll of their city career. If this sounds familiar, please do get in touch.

Doctoral Training
I am in the very final stages in my training as a counselling psychologist. This additional training has equipped me with a deeper knowledge of psychological theories and more extensive supervised training and research on complex mental health conditions.
As I briefly mentioned on my home page, my doctoral research was in the area of assisted dying. I welcome any enquiry from individuals who may be impacted by this topic. More Info
